2014 Fall Must Have: Shearling

It’s no surprise Glamour Magazine singled out this soft and warm textile as a must-have for Fall 2014. I am an endless summer kind of girl, but there’s a time when the Sacramento ninety degree weather breaks, the days get shorter, colder and I do a little happy dance when it’s time to pull out my cool weather garbs.

Shearling is like plaid in the cold months – timeless. But, (the look of) shearling is in vogue this season, so for those lucky folks who already own a shearling lined jacket – rejoice! And, for the rest of us who covet one, take a look at the styles I curated below – bound to conjure daydreams of all the outfits a shearling jacket would complete :-).

Here’s a round-up of the flyest shearling jackets for all budgets:

Cascade Shearling Coat, on sale $119. Alloy.

Burberry Brit Sheppington Shearling Jacket, $2995. Bloomingdales.

Faux Suede and Faux Shearling Jacket, $43. Forever 21.

Overland Sheepskin Co Holly Shearling Sheepskin Jacket, $759. Amazon.com.

Faux Shearling Jacket, $50. Forever 21.

    • Hi Denise, I’m delighted you reached out to me and connect with a fellow writer from the Write, Dream and Play! Program. Thank you for checking out my blog and blessing me with your kind words and connection. Check you out with that awesome blog! Count me in as a follower – I love your blog’s voice – I’m intrigued by your writing. Are you working on other writing projects or is the blog your main focus right now? I have writing projects stalled out, but my blog has been my writing outlet lately. Anyway, great meeting you.

      Take care,

      Kim

      • Hi Kim. I’ve been floating around your blog and really enjoy the content. I tried to leave a comment on more than one of your posts, but could not find the “post comment” button, I’m thinking that your comments are not enabled for all of your posts. But let me know so I can try again, if possible, many of your posts have truly blessed me.

Regarding my writing, I joined Tim’s group to get support in finishing up my first crime-fiction novel – his podcast is great, and the daily emails help me also. My blog(s) seem to be the writing that keeps stalling out. I’ve set a new goal to post three times a week, so far I’ve managed to get a post written inside the notes of my phone … if I could just get those uploaded to my blog! I am going to keep at it, you inspire me!

        Happy Wednesday,
        Denise 🙂
