What’s manifesting and allowing?

It’s about shaping your inner and outer environment, making your life-force supple and ready to receive that which you’ve created in the metaphysical world with your creative thoughts. Sometimes you have to quiet the mind, exercise and rest the body, and watch your words in order to be an allowing vessel of your manifestations.

It’s about allowing your creations to come through you into the physical world.

It’s about having a grateful heart, for what is, what has been and what will be.

It’s about awareness of your thoughts and emotions. Are your thoughts serving you? Is your emotions trying to tell you something?

It’s about affirming what it is you have and want and releasing what you don’t want.

It’s about knowing there’s a seasonal cycle for everyone and everything. To resist resisting the seasonal changes that naturally come with everyone and everything.

It’s about managing resistance and understanding contrast’s place in your manifesting process.

It’s about recognizing that your here and now was all attracted to you, by you.

It’s about not plucking your fruits too early, before they’ve had a chance to fully ripen.

It’s about surrendering to patience, while persisting in action steps and right thoughts as you are creating your life.

And, most of all is it’s about walking and talking as if you know you are in a loving, supportive Universe, one that is patiently waiting for you to mold it with your very Being and Spirit.

Pantone’s 2015 Fashion Color Trends of the Year

Color trend predictions to fashionistas remind me of sports fans pastime of predicting football’s best teams for the year – part speculative, part intuitive, part historical reference. We love to see if our own predictions and all-time favorites made the list. We find ways to incorporate the current year’s colors into our wardrobe.

Pantone’s 2015 color predictions promise many hues of blue, juxtaposed against powerful tangerine, sensual marsala, and subdued by toasted almond and custard. According to Pantone Fashion Color Report Spring 2015, the colors will be like a vivid, eclectic daydream, a throwback of sorts to a time when colors were vivid, yet whimsical – a la 1970s (I’m swooning!).

Your closet probably already has some or all of these colors represented. See if your wardrobe already has the 2015 spring colors. Save money by moving your color forward garbs to the front of your closet – ready at your fingertips (Tip: Change out your wardrobe 2-4 times a year to ensure you’re wearing your clothes and donating/selling what no longer is working. This allows you to fall in love with your clothes all over again, season to season. I swap out my clothes twice a year – fall/winter, spring/summer).

Color is an instant boost to an otherwise stale wardrobe. If you don’t have the colors in your current wardrobe and don’t want to spend a fortune on trendy items, opt for colorful accessories like scarves. Scarves can update an outfit in a cheap and chic way. The same with earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, which has a small storage and economical footprint and can spruce up any outfit.

What colors are you drawn to in 2015? How do you freshen up your wardrobe year to year?

Here are some of my favorite, wearable 2015 colors of the year examples:

Wisdom in Procrastination

New Year’s resolutions motivates, yet it also reminds us what we haven’t accomplished yet. The failed resolutions, the false starts, the promises to change. This is not a post on the pros and cons of setting resolutions. This post is about how there are times when procrastination is stalling out because maybe what you thought you wanted to manifest is not really what you want.

Procrastination got a bad rep.

Many of us blame ourselves and are our worse critics as to why we’re “lazy.” It probably has more to do with a goal not being in alignment with what it is you truly desire. The procrastination is trying to tell you to look at the resolution to see what about it appealed to you and be honest as to why it hasn’t happened yet. This inner dialogue will allow you to root out limiting beliefs that are getting in the way of your receiving, allow the aligned desires to manifest and most importantly, it will allow you to let go of what is not really for you (now or ever).

A dream goes through a gestational period, so if you are actively working towards a resolution, it may not be the season just yet for what you want to reveal itself in the physical form. If what you want is a true heart’s desire, then it will come to pass in its due time. Check out https://abundantlifeinitiative.com/2014/04/05/gestation-of-a-dream/, for more information on how to nurture your dream’s gestational process..

The Universe is smarter than many of us give It credit for. Sometimes there are delays simply because you’re not meant to resolve that resolution just yet. Some argue you have to always take action steps towards a goal, and for the most part, I agree with that. However, there are times when you just have to take pause. These pauses come because God knows better than we do. We can’t even explain why we’ve paused, but it probably felt the most safe to do and that’s okay.

Follow your own divine internal guidance system and when you’re called to pause, pause. But pause and assess why there is a pause – if it’s simply so you can take a step back, so be it. If the goal is meant for you to manifest it, the desire will grow and you will be moved to take action when you’re ready. There are times when you do have to push through a pause – but don’t push until you’ve assessed why you’ve stalled. Most importantly, don’t beat yourself up for stalling, because again, the wisdom is found in the procrastination.

How to make procrastination work for you:

  • Do incorporate regular research sessions about how to reach your goal, but don’t stay in the research phase forever.
  • Be honest with yourself as to why you haven’t accomplished your goal yet.
  • Take a step towards your goal – how did you feel taking that step? Were you surprised on how good or bad you felt about it? What information can you glean from taking those first baby steps towards your goal?
  • Meditate, pray, and sit in stillness during times of procrastination – what may look like procrastination on the outside is really covering a brewing for something richer and more in alignment with your Spirit.
  • Most importantly, do not beat yourself up over something not happening – give yourself a break.
  • Remember that procrastination is trying to tell you something about three things: whether you really want the resolution (and it’s not a cookie cutter goal that everyone claims to want), whether you should stop for now, or maybe you should push on through. Divine Guidance will move you in the right direction.

Some people really do work well under pressure – and at times, I am that kind of person. Consider exploring what it feels like to not to procrastinate and see if that feeling resonates with you more. Oftentimes, we just need routine and someone to hold us accountable (such as a life, business, or wellness/fitness coach, even a loved one) for staying on track.

Here are some Law of Attraction/New Thought Podcasts on the subject to get you inspired to trust your internal guidance system:

  • Summer McStravick’s Flowdreaming Podcast November 12, 2014 – Manifesting vs. Intuition: How They’re Alike And How They’re Different. Great podcast on the subject of knowing the difference and metaphysical dance between intuition and manifestation. A must listen-to.
  • Summer McStravick’s Flowdreaming Podcast December 16, 2015 – What Did I Make And Why Did I Make It. This is probably the most relevant podcast to today’s blog post. She discusses the natural ebb and flow of why some things get accomplished, while others don’t.
  • Summer McStravick’s Flowdreaming Podcast January 6, 2015 – Going Big In My Fertile Direction! This podcast will get you inspired to look at your dreams and trajectory in a new and motivating way.

Be Abundant

You are already abundant.

Like the oceans, you are inherently abundant. All that you need is in you, and through you by God.

Take a look around. Feel the sensations in and outside your body. Notice your breaths and deepen them. Thank God for each breath and the ability to deepen them – not everyone can. Notice the twitch in your right big toe, or your stomach signals of fullness or hunger, or how you have goose bumps. Behold your extraordinary body! Behold the abundance you already are and that’s around you.

Your body is the vessel for your soul. Nurture it and be grateful for the great health you continuously experience. Be grateful that at age ___, you’re still able to __________ (name something that’s awesome that you can do, no matter what it is and no matter what age you’ve selected).

Your connection to Source is what sustains you – and you are forever buoyed by this Knowing and Being. Your Source is not external of you, but can produce external things as the fruits of your Creative Thoughts and cooperation with Spirit. Source is not just internal of you. It can be anything and everything – the only limitation is the beliefs you continue to hold on to. Spirit is intrinsic of you and you are intrinsic of Spirit.

Be the abundance you seek. Once you realize your Source comes from within and radiates out, then you will know true abundance. Once you know there is an eternal spring of Source to tap into, you will know you are eternally abundant.

Turn within, look within and be within. The answers to your questions, needs and wants are not outside of you, but are within and from within. Sometimes, stillness is where the answers lie, and sometimes movement and fellowship the answers will come. The only way to know which way to go is to look within and see where Intuition and Spirit is guiding you.

It’s important to take a few moments to sit in stillness. Take five to ten minutes each day this week to sit in stillness, keep a notepad close by so when you’re done meditating, you can jot down the revelations you’ve received.

To walk and be in abundance should come easier with this Knowing. This Knowing is evidenced all around you and is a Universal truth so many deny themselves. Don’t deny yourself this truth – you ARE an abundant being.
